School Management Software in Pakistan: A Demo & Migration Checklist

Evaluate fee rules, attendance corrections, permissions, data migration and support using your school's real workflows before choosing a system.

Prepare a school-specific demonstration

Before selecting school management software in Pakistan, write down how your school actually handles admissions, fee collection and attendance. Class structures, payment schedules and staff responsibilities can differ even between schools with similar student numbers.

Ask for a demonstration using fictional records that reflect these rules. Do not upload real student identity documents, contact lists or financial records to an unfamiliar trial account. The checks below are evaluation questions, not a claim that every Lexus product includes every feature.

Test the fee cycle from admission to reconciliation

Use a fictional student with an admission charge, a recurring fee and a concession. Ask the provider to show how an authorized person changes a fee, records a partial payment, corrects an incorrect receipt and reviews the remaining balance.

Then compare the daily collection report with individual receipts. If sibling discounts, transport charges, arrears or multiple payment channels matter to your school, include those cases in the demonstration and the written scope.

Check attendance corrections and staff permissions

Ask a teacher to record attendance for an assigned class, then demonstrate how an authorized member of staff corrects an entry. Confirm whether the original change and the person making the correction remain traceable.

Review separate accounts for administrators, teachers and fee staff. Check access to exports as well as on-screen records. Staff should receive the access they need for their duties, with account removal included when someone leaves.

Ask what happens when connectivity is interrupted

Do not accept 'works offline' as a complete answer. Ask which exact tasks remain available, on which devices and how changes are reconciled after reconnection. Demonstrate interrupted work if offline operation is required.

Also confirm what staff should do during an outage if offline transactions are unavailable. An agreed temporary process is more useful than assuming every screen can operate without an internet connection.

Rehearse migration before changing the working system

Inventory the existing registers, spreadsheets and software exports. Agree the student identifier, class naming, opening fee balances and the historical records that must be preserved. Decide who corrects inconsistent or duplicate entries.

Run a trial import using an approved sample. Reconcile student counts and balances, check representative records with school staff and document exceptions. Agree the final cutover date, a backup of the original records and what happens if validation fails.

Confirm the full operating arrangement

Ask about setup, data import, training, recurring charges, messaging costs, backup responsibilities and support hours. If Urdu-language training or on-site assistance is needed, confirm its availability and cost explicitly.

Request a demonstration of exporting your school's records and clarify the format and process for leaving the service. Before signing, record the modules, acceptance checks, ownership responsibilities and support commitments in writing.

Choose the next step around your requirements

A school with standard workflows can start by evaluating an existing school management product. Unusual fee rules, integrations or reporting may require configuration or a separately scoped development engagement.

For a Lexus Developers inquiry, prepare your campus and class structure, essential workflows, current data format and required integrations. Share requirements first so the team can discuss product fit and any custom work without assuming that every requested capability is already included.
